How Frameworks Can Change Everything
Why English Isn’t Just About Words: How Frameworks Can Change Everything
TL;DR:
學英文不是死背單字或文法,而是建立「預期會遇到的情境」與「對應說法」的思考框架。用我剛來台灣去加油的經驗來說明,框架準備好,溝通自然就輕鬆。
🚦The First Time I Got Gas in Taiwan
When I first moved to Taiwan, I thought getting gas would be simple. I had a scooter. I needed gas. So I drove to the gas station thinking:
“They’ll see me and fill it up. Done.”
But here’s what really happened:
• “要加滿嗎?” (Do you want to fill it up?)
• “要加95還是98?” (Do you want 95 or 98?)
• “要付現還是刷卡?” (Cash or credit?)
• “要水還是面紙?” (Water or tissue?)
And me? 😅 I froze. I hadn’t anticipated any of it.
Mental Preparation Is the Real Key
這就是為什麼我後來學會在腦中先模擬情境。
Instead of just memorizing words, I started creating frameworks in my head:
1. What questions will I probably be asked?
2. What are the options?
3. What phrases do I want to use to reply clearly?
這樣做,我不只是「學英文」,而是「用英文思考」。
The Same Idea Works in the Workplace
Think about it:
Meetings, presentations, emails… they all follow patterns.
If you know the questions people tend to ask, and have answers you’ve already prepared, you’re no longer reacting. You’re leading.
這也是我在 ESF 一直強調的理念:
語言學習不是填鴨式記憶,而是策略性的思考與準備。
Frameworks Let You Improve Over Time
The more often you use a framework, the more you can:
• Adjust it
• Refine your answers
• Add new vocabulary
而不是每次都「臨場反應」,壓力山大。
You Don’t Need to Be Perfect. You Just Need to Be Prepared.
這就是為什麼我創立了 ESL Success Frameworks。
So that professionals like you can learn how to prepare better and communicate smarter.
